High blood pressure

Blood pressure reflects the pressure within the heart, and varies up and down every second as the heart beats. In Canada high blood pressure is treated with regular aerobic exercise, weight reduction, processed salt restriction, and in extreme cases, medication.

Caution: Those who have chronic high blood pressure should consult their health care provider before any type of exercise.

WBV exercise increases blood circulation which can lower blood pressure.  With stress there are higher and more prolonged levels of Cortisol in the bloodstream.  It has been shown that WBV reduces Cortisol (Stress Hormone) which can also reduce blood pressure.

"Whole Body Vibration improves circulation of blood and lymph, and oxygen delivery to peripheral tissues." Becky Chambers N.D.

Whole Body Vibration has been used successfully by Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists and MDs to help with many health related issues including high blood pressure problems. Through involuntary muscle contractions, WBV helps increase blood circulation and helps improve many body functions.

We suggest consulting with your health care provider first, and then try a T-Zone Vibration machine at our Vibration Studio.

Tips on using Vibration Therapy with health issues:

1. Pace yourself at first with a moderate workout of 2-4 minutes at moderate speeds.

2. Try a few speeds 1-10...then if you are not experiencing any sharp pains or shortness of breath, try speeds 15-20.

3. I would not attempt speeds any higher than 15 until you are confident that your body can handle it.

4. Try to change the speed settings regularly to create a variety of intensities and benefits.

5. With certain health issues, it may be uncomfortable to use speeds higher than 25, and some positions may be difficult to perform.

Note: It's important to know that there are two types of Vibration technologies available; Linear/Lineal and Oscillating/Pivotal. They are both Vibration Technologies but the difference is how the vibration is 'delivered' to the body. T-Zone Health uses Oscillating/Pivotal Technology which is the technology that is most popular with Chiropractors, Physiotherapists and Rehab institutions around the world. It is not recommended that Linear Vibration be used with people that have had major surgeries, other health issues, or older and younger users.  We always suggest that you get advice from a Health Care Provider before trying any forms of exercise including WBV (Whole Body Vibration).
