VIBRATION & C-SECTION
How long after a c-section should a woman wait before she vibrates?
If this were my patient I would ask:
If they were walking? If they were in pain? If the incision had healed?
If the sutures were oozing?
If they answered in the negative I would then advise that they use the T-Zone judiciously.
I would suggest:
Standing (feet together) with both hands on the scar (fingertips on scar)
Geriatric speed (15 to 20) One to two minutes
How did that feel?
If no stress later that day again with the same position
Only turn your body one way and then the other with your feet still.
How does the incision respond?
If gentle stretches (not painful) then proceed with 3 times the next day
Then 3 times with the feet one inch apart. Then two inches apart then three
Gradually increase the time of use as well as the distance the feet are apart.
Gradually and gently increasing the stretch on the incision.
Painlessly and gently speeding the healing process all the while not stressing the body.
We all heal and respond at different rates. Be judicious and patient.
Enjoy your more rapid recovery, your greater comfort and flexibility as well as your new baby.
